SaRang Center to host Pyungyang Revival centennial events

In January 1907, 1000 men gathered at a conference at the Central Church of Pyungyang, an occasion that sparked a great movement of repentance throughout Korea and resulted in Pyungyang becoming known as the “Jerusalem of the East.”  This January 14-15, Westminster's SaRang Korean Missions Center will host a Korean community worship service and a seminar in honor of the centennial of the Great Pyungyang Revival.  Events will be held in Korean on the Glenside, Pennsylvania campus, and will include musical presentations and lectures by Korean scholars.  Public welcome.  See our website for schedule and directions.

Church leaders, audit a Spring 2007 course free

Elders and deacons can choose one eligible course to audit each semester at no cost at our Philadelphia and Texas campuses. Sit in on “Doctrine of God,” “Medieval Church,” “Personal Evangelism,” or one of several other options this spring.  See website for details. Church leader audit applications for spring are due January 15.

His love endures forever

This month, as we change calendars, make resolutions, and plan our schedules for the coming days, Psalm 138 reminds us to bow humbly with King David and “all the kings of the earth” before the Lord’s holy temple and give thanks for his steadfast love and faithfulness.  Al Groves, professor of Old Testament, meditates on these words in a chapel address delivered last winter; visit our website to download the free audio.

Meet an alumnus

"Having a solid handle on total depravity is pretty easy for a post-modern adolescent, but being persuaded that God has spoken in Christ,” well, that’s another story—part of the conversion story of Dr. Ben Inman, ’95, ’04, as well as that of many of the students he serves as RUF campus minister at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  Read his alumni profile to find out how his big brother, Jacques Derrida, and Professor Poythress led him to Westminster!
