SPRING 2007 CHAPEL SCHEDULE, PHILADELPHIA CAMPUS>> Continuing the momentum of last year’s successful ReConnect Tour, we are pleased to present the Common Ground Alumni Tour – 2007/2008. During this academic year, seventeen (yes, 17!) alumni dinner events are coming to cities all around the United States. With each event hosted by Dave Garner, Vice President for Alumni Relations & Educational Advancement, and Alumni Director Steve Cairns, President Peter Lillback also plans to attend several dinners. September 25 - Prospective Student Day, Glenside, PA - Join us for a full day of activity on our campus, including breakfast, a tour of campus, faculty interaction, lunch, and classes. We look forward to your presence! October 19-20 -- Women of Westminster sponsors its second annual Women in the Word: A Workshop. Held on the Glenside, Pennsylvania campus, this weekend program is designed to help develop biblically skillful, theologically discerning women Bible teachers. Dr. Karen Jobes, a Westminster Ph.D. graduate, will be the plenary speaker. She will focus three large group sessions on teaching and modeling exegesis and hermeneutics. Small study groups, a unique feature of this event, provide a hands-on, collegial setting in which participants present five-minute summaries of an assigned Bible lesson. Dr. Jobes is the Gerald F. Hawthorne Professor of New Testament Greek and Exegesis at Wheaton College, Wheaton, Illinois. Registration for the event includes dinner and lunch. Enrollment is by application only (June 30 deadline) and is limited. Click here for the brochure. October 23-24 -- The 2007 Institute on Biblical Preaching will be held on the Glenside, Pennsylvania campus (intersection of Church Rd. and Willow Grove Ave.) on the theme “Getting ‘The Story’ Right: Preaching Biblical Narrative.” Westminster alumnus Dan Doriani will be the keynote speaker; seminars will be given by Tuck Bartholomew, James Garretson, and Carl Trueman.
